Selection Procedure of the Approximation Methods for Deriving Priorities: A Case of Inconsistent Pairwise Comparisons

open access: yesBusiness Systems Research
When pairwise comparisons are used to express preferences for alternatives or judgments on criteria's importance, several methods can be used to derive priorities in multi-criteria decision-making.

A two-step multivariate statistical learning approach for batch process soft sensing

open access: yesDigital Chemical Engineering, 2021
Statistical machine learning algorithms have been widely used to analyse industrial data for batch process monitoring and control. In this study, we aimed to take a two-step approach to systematically reduce data dimensionality and to design soft-sensors

Synthesis, Biological Evaluation, and Molecular Docking Studies of 2r,3t,4c‐Configured C‐Furanosidic LpxC Inhibitors

open access: yesArchiv der Pharmazie, Volume 359, Issue 6, June 2026.
To provide a full picture of the effects of stereochemistry on the biological activity of C‐furanosidic LpxC inhibitors, in chiral pool syntheses starting from d‐mannitol and d‐galactose, a series of four 2r,3t,4c‐configured C‐furanosides was synthesized and tested for LpxC inhibitory and antibacterial activity as well as in vitro ADMET properties ...

DeepHAM: A global solution method for heterogeneous agent models with aggregate shocks

open access: yesQuantitative Economics, Volume 17, Issue 2, Page 297-341, May 2026.
We propose an efficient, reliable, and interpretable global solution method, the Deep learning‐based algorithm for Heterogeneous Agent Models (DeepHAM), for solving high‐dimensional heterogeneous agent models with aggregate shocks. The state distribution is approximately represented by a set of optimal generalized moments. Deep neural networks are used

Understanding age and sex differentials in cancer incidence and mortality: An international population‐based study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 158, Issue 8, Page 2102-2110, 15 April 2026.
What's New? Cancer incidence and mortality differ between males and females. Whether these differences fluctuate across life stages, however, remains largely unknown. Drawing on worldwide cancer registry data and mortality estimates, this study explored age‐related differences in cancer occurrence between the sexes.

Network analysis of psychological problems in school‐attending students aged 6–16 years in China: A comparison between rural and urban areas

open access: yesPediatric Investigation, Volume 10, Issue 2, Page 135-146, April 2026.
A network analysis of 19711 Chinese children and adolescents found that urbanization shapes mental health symptom patterns. Rural students showed more emotional and social problems, while urban students had more somatic complaints and aggressive behavior.

Automatic calculation of symmetry‐adapted tensors under spin‐group symmetry: STENSOR, a new tool of the Bilbao Crystallographic Server

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 59, Issue 2, Page 640-647, April 2026.
STENSOR automatically computes symmetry‐adapted tensors under spin and magnetic point groups. It generates tensors for both spin and magnetic point groups from structural data files or spin‐group generators. The comparison permits separation of the effects due to spin–orbit coupling from non‐relativistic contributions, as illustrated by examples. We ...

A Novel Topical Emollient Plus for Canine Atopic Dermatitis: A Clinical Trial Assessing Efficacy and User Acceptance

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 2, Page 293-305, April 2026.
Background: Canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) is a common, chronic skin condition characterised by epidermal barrier dysfunction, immune dysregulation and cutaneous dysbiosis. While “emollient plus” formulations are widely used in human atopic dermatitis, their role in cAD remains underexplored. Hypothesis/Objectives: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and
