Cancer Antigens (CEA and CA 19-9) as Markers of Advanced Stage of Colorectal Carcinoma [PDF]
CEA and CA 19-9 are the most common tumor associated antigens used in the staging of patients with rectal cancer and other parts of the colon.of this study was to evaluate the value of CEA and CA 19-9 in serum of patients with colon cancer and prove its place in the diagnostic staging. The study was retrospective-prospective performed at the ...

Carcinoembryonic antigen, CA 19-9, and CA 125 in normal and carcinomatous human colorectal tissue [PDF]
In 115 primary colorectal carcinomas and 64 normal colorectal mucosa specimens the concentrations of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), CA 19-9, and CA 125 were measured. The determinations were performed in cytosols by use of radioimmunometric and enzymeimmunometric assays and related to the wet tissue weight.

Comparison of CA 72-4, CA 19-9 and CEA in the diagnosis and monitoring of gastric cancer
In order to assess the utility of the tumor-associated antigen CA 72-4 in the diagnosis and monitoring of gastric cancer, this tumor marker was measured preoperatively in 718 patients.

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only

Background:Serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9) has been shown to be a sensitive and specific serum marker for pancreatic cancer. Little has been published about correlations between baseline CA 19-9 level or changes to CA 19-9 level and median ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

EVALUATION OF THE ASSOCIATION OF TUMOR BIOMARKERS WITH CHILDHOOD CANCERS
Objective: We aimed to investigate the indications for Carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9), carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA-125), carbohydrate antigen 15-3 (CA15-3) and carcinoembryogenic antigen (CEA) tumor biomarkers, less commonly used in children, and ...
