Benign Hydronephrosis and Elevated of Serum Levels of Carbohydrate Antigen CA 19-9: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Case Reports, 2016
Carbohydrate tumor-associated antigen (CA 19-9) has been shown to be upregulated in other malignant tumors including gastric, ovarian, hepatocellular, and colorectal carcinoma as well as benign diseases of the biliary track such as pancreatitis, cholangitis, and choledocholithiasis.

Comparison of CA 72-4, CA 19-9 and CEA in the diagnosis and monitoring of gastric cancer

open access: yesThe International Journal of Biological Markers, 1995
In order to assess the utility of the tumor-associated antigen CA 72-4 in the diagnosis and monitoring of gastric cancer, this tumor marker was measured preoperatively in 718 patients.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The Clinical Relevance of Tumor Marker Cea, Ca 19-9 in Regional Chemotherapy of Hepatic Metastases of Colorectal Carcinoma

open access: yesThe International Journal of Biological Markers, 1988
Up to December 1986, 50 patients with documented hepatic metastases from colorectal carcinoma were treated with 5-fluoro-2-deoxyuridine (FUDR) using Infusaid pumps.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

EVALUATION OF THE ASSOCIATION OF TUMOR BIOMARKERS WITH CHILDHOOD CANCERS

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy
Objective: We aimed to investigate the indications for Carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9), carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA-125), carbohydrate antigen 15-3 (CA15-3) and carcinoembryogenic antigen (CEA) tumor biomarkers, less commonly used in children, and ...

Roles of serum and biliary CEA, CA19-9, VEGFR3, and TAC in differentiating between malignant and benign biliary obstructions

open access: yesThe Turkish Journal of Gastroenterology, 2014
Background/Aims: Despite the presence of many diagnostic methods, the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant biliary obstructions is still not easy.

Extreme elevation of CA19-9 in patient with endometriosis-associated cancer: A brief report and review of the literature

open access: yesCurrent Problems in Cancer: Case Reports, 2023
CA 19-9 (carbohydrate antigen 19-9) is used as a biomarker for hepatobiliary cancer and is generally not considered helpful in the evaluation of gynecologic cancer.

Carcinoembryonic antigen, CA 19-9, and CA 125 in normal and carcinomatous human colorectal tissue [PDF]

open access: yesCancer, 1987
In 115 primary colorectal carcinomas and 64 normal colorectal mucosa specimens the concentrations of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), CA 19-9, and CA 125 were measured. The determinations were performed in cytosols by use of radioimmunometric and enzymeimmunometric assays and related to the wet tissue weight.
