[Bronchioloalveolar carcinoma producing CA19-9].

Kyobu geka. The Japanese journal of thoracic surgery, 2011
A 76-year-old man, who had underwent radiation for laryngeal cancer 5 years before, was pointed out abnormal pulmonary lesion on computed tomography. The 4.6 cm-sized lesion was seen in the upper lobe of the left lung. Endoscopic brushing cytology revealed adenocarcinoma.

Marked elevation of CA19‐9 in a patient with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis: CA19‐9 as a bad prognostic factor

Respirology, 1998
Abstract A 53‐year‐old Japanese female, who had been suffering from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) for 3 years, was admitted with dyspnoea. The important laboratory finding on admission was a serum CA19‐9 level of 649 U/mL. Despite steroid treatment for IPF, her respiratory condition gradually deteriorated with the increase of serum CA19‐9 ...

CA19-9 and CEA biosensors in pancreatic cancer

Clinica Chimica Acta
Cancer is a complex pathophysiological condition causing millions of deaths each year. Early diagnosis is essential especially for pancreatic cancer. Existing diagnostic tools rely on circulating biomarkers such as Carbohydrate Antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) and Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA). Unfortunately, these markers are nonspecific and may be increased in

Elevated CA19-9 in IgG4-related disease

Annals of Clinical Biochemistry: International Journal of Laboratory Medicine
Background IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an inflammatory disease that can clinically mimic pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancer. Serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is a tumour marker that is frequently used to aid in the diagnosis of biliary cancer.

A Case of Pseudoelevation of Serum CA19-9 Level

Clinical Laboratory
Carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is usually synthesized by pancreatic and bile duct cells and is present in small amounts in serum. During the period of tumor disease, its serum level significantly increases, and it is the most widely used serum tumor marker for diagnosis and monitoring therapy of pancreatic cancer. We reported a case of abnormal ...
