Thermal properties asd crystallization kinetics of PP/CaCO3 and PP/EPDM/CaCO3 composites

Thermochimica Acta, 1988
Abstract The thermal properties and crystallisation kinetics of PP/CaCO 3 and PP/EPDM/CaCO 3 composites in dependence on the quantity, particle size and the surface treatment of the filler as well as the addition of EPDM were examined by differential scanning calorimetry.

The System CaCO3-MgCO3

1973
Among the constituents of ancient carbonate rocks, dolomite, CaMg(CO3)2 is second in importance after calcite. Although both minerals may be found associated in dolomitic limestones, most dolomite occurs in essentially monomineralic bodies. These range in dimension from patches or layers of the order of centimeters to formations of considerable ...

The solvus in the system MnCO3-CaCO3

Contributions to Mineralogy and Petrology, 1981
The solvus on the Mn-rich side in the system MnCO3-CaCO3 was studied experimentally at 10 kb and lower pressures. The critical point lies at 540 °C and Mn0.68Ca0.32CO3. Reaction rates of demising are extremely sluggish. X-ray calibration curves for (Mn, Ca)CO3 solid solutions are given.

Thermodynamics of CaCO3 phase transitions

Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1996
Thermodynamic quantities of the aragonite → calcite transition, were evaluated using results of calorimetric investigations. (1) Dissolution enthalpies of the CaCO3 polymorphs aragonite and calcite measured near room temperature with different calorimeter, (2) the enthalpy of the spontaneous phase transformation obtained by differential scanning ...

Coprecipitation of Ni with CaCO3

1995
The performance assessment of repositories for spent nuclear fuel need, among other things, data describing the solubilities of radionuclides in the near field and far field. The solubility limits are often used in order to estimate the maximum concentrations of radionuclides during their possible transport to the biosphere.

Enzymatic CaCO3 for Proppant Consolidation

SPE Europec featured at 78th EAGE Conference and Exhibition, 2016
Abstract The application of enzymatic generation and precipitation of calcium carbonate for the use as in-situproppant consolidation is an environmentally green technology that shows promise in the Danish North Sea. Hydraulic fracturing of producers with the aid of proppants to keep fractures open can present a problem if the proppants ...

Hydration of C3a in the presence of CaCO3

Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1997
The hydration of C3A with and without CaCO3 was studied. The techniques used were X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetry, differential thermogravimetry and calorimetry.

Moderation of Neutrons in SiO2 and CaCO3

Journal of Applied Physics, 1955
The spatial distributions of indium resonance neutrons about a ``point'' Ra-Be source have been measured in pure CaCO3 (limestone) and SiO2 (sand) out to r2≈9τ. Both media show nearly Gaussian distributions corresponding to Fermi ages τ(SiO2)=1906±90 cm2 and τ(CaCO3)=461±23 cm2 over most of the range observed.

The effects of micro and nano CaCo3 on the rheological and physico/mechanical behavior of an SBS/CaCO3 composite: Vpliv mikro- in nanodelcev CaCO3 na reološko in fizikalno/mehansko vedenje kompozita SBS/CaCO3:

2012
Uporabljeni so bili delci CaCO3 različne velikosti, potrjeni z metodo rentgenske difrakcije. Elastomeru stiren butadien stiren (SBS) je bilo dodano od 1 % do 5 % masnih deležev (w) nanodelcev CaCO3. Nanokompozitni elastomer jebil izdelan z dvovaljčnim mlinom in ulit na tlačnem stroju.
