Das CAD-Referenzmodell als Gestaltungsleitlinie für humanorientierte aufgabenbezogene CAD-Systeme
S.459-465By reason of the rather complicated handling of today's CAD systems well qualified and trained users are required. A sufficient support of the entire design work for product development is currently not yet possible.

Prognostic value of CAD-RADS classification by coronary CTA in patients with suspected CAD
Background The study sought to compare Coronary Artery Disease Reporting and Data System (CAD-RADS) classification with traditional coronary artery disease (CAD) classifications and Duke Prognostic CAD Index for predicting the risk of all-cause mortality

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Role of lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (LP-PLA2) in the prediction and assessment of the severity of coronary artery disease in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus [PDF]
Background: Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) is a specific biomarker associated with an increased risk of coronary artery disease (CAD) development.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Background: Family history (FH) of coronary artery disease (CAD) [FH-CAD] is a well-known risk factor for atherosclerotic CAD. However, FH-CAD frequency in patients with vasospastic angina (VSA) remains unknown, and the clinical characteristics and ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
