HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Chronic cadmium exposure stimulates SDF-1 expression in an ERα dependent manner. [PDF]
Cadmium is an omnipotent environmental contaminant associated with the development of breast cancer. Studies suggest that cadmium functions as an endocrine disruptor, mimicking the actions of estrogen in breast cancer cells and activating the receptor to

Absorption of Cadmium and its Effect on the Growth of Halfsib Family of Three Cocoa Clones Seedling
The issue of cadmium in cocoa beans has become one of the primary considerations in setting quality criteria in chocolate-consuming countries. Using rootstock genotypes that are tolerant to cadmium uptake can provide data on the absorption of cadmium ...

Different patterns of uptake and depuration of cadmium by periphyton community and a grazer species (Physa sp.): A mesocosm evalution [PDF]
Widespread pollution by heavy metals generated by various industries has serious adverse effects on human health and the environment. Cadmium is a heavy metal recognised as one of the most hazardous environmental pollutants. It is a non-essential and non-

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Study of ${\rm CdI_2}$ nanocrystals dispersed in amorphous ${\rm Sb_2S_3}$ matrix
Crystalline nanoparticles of cadmium iodide where suspended in the amorphous matrix of antimony trisulphide. Both materials are layered structured and have large band-gaps however cadmium iodide exhibits polytypism, i.e.

Skin biopsies taken from a patient with an ultra‐rare disorder as well as controls were cultured for up to 473 days. The chunks of skin were serially transferred to a new culture plate when confluent with fibroblasts. Different generations of fibroblasts were analyzed for cell and molecular properties, proliferation, and competence for reprogramming to

Comparative analysis of chloroplast genomes from 14 genera of Thymelaeaceae revealed variation in gene content, ranging from 128 to 142 genes, primarily influenced by IR expansion/contraction events and pseudogenization of ndhF, ndhI, and ndhG. Two large inversions were detected within the large single‐copy region, including a synapomorphic inversion ...

Trace metals in common marine foods of the Pacific Coast [PDF]
Trace metal analysis of 23 species of common Pacific Coast marine foods revealed high cadmium values for Bent-nosed clams (Macoma nasuta), Bay mussels (Mytilus edulis), Bay oysters (Osrtrea lurida), Pacific oysters (Crassostrea gigas), and Littleneck ...
