Effects of Acid Treatment on Formaldehyde, Cadmium and Volatile Flavor Compounds in Dried Lentinus edodes

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji, 2023
In order to reduce the content of formaldehyde and heavy metal cadmium in Lentinus edodes, the effect of different acid pretreatments on the removal of formaldehyde and cadmium content in Lentinus edodes was studied, and the removal method was optimized ...

Bioavailability indicators of inhaled cadmium compounds

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety, 1986
In a thirty-day inhalation study male Wistar rats were continuously exposed to submicron aerosols of three different cadmium compounds. The cadmium chloride (CdCl2) and cadmium oxide (CdO) aerosol concentrations were 0.1 mg/m3 Cd. Because of its lower solubility the cadmium sulfide (CdS) level was 1 mg/m3 Cd.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Cadmium and lead in compounded feeds.

open access: yesNetherlands Journal of Agricultural Science, 1986
Cadmium and lead were estimated in 452 compounded feeds for dairy cattle, sows, piglets, growing pigs, layers and broiler chickens. The average Cd content was 0.126 to 0.174 mg/kg. In 88% of samples Cd content was 0.5 mg/kg. The average Pb content was 0.82 to 1.70 mg/kg. The maximum permissible concentration of 5.0 mg/kg was exceeded in only 2 samples.
