Plant science: the key to preventing slow cadmium poisoning
Trends in Plant Science, 2013Practically all human populations are environmentally exposed to cadmium (Cd), mostly through plant-derived food. A growing body of epidemiological evidence suggests that there is no margin of safety between current Cd exposure levels and the threshold for adverse health effects and, hence, there is an urgent need to lower human Cd intake.

In recent years cases of gastroenteritis in groups, designated for want of a better term as food poisoning, have been much more thoroughly investigated, and as a result the distinctive characteristics peculiar to various individual etiologic factors have been more clearly defined.

Experimental cadmium poisoning in sheep
Experimental and Toxicologic Pathology, 2003Pathomorphological investigations of internal organs were made in sheep given sublethal doses of cadmium. Early histological damages in kidneys were established by renal biopsy in some experimental animals. The main histological changes were characterized by granular degeneration in proximal tubules and glomerular endothelial proliferation in kidneys ...

An insight into Cadmium poisoning and its removal from aqueous sources by Graphene Adsorbents
International Journal of Environmental Health Research, 2018Graphene alone, in modified form or its composites had find their explicit position in the field of adsorption technology and hence assist in detection and removal of heavy metals like Cd (permissible limit 0.1 mg/L), which can cause various ...
