Dissociation Constant (Kd) Measurement for Small‐Molecule Binding Aptamers: Homogeneous Assay Methods and Critical Evaluations

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
The characteristics of aptamer is most commonly represented by the dissociation constant (Kd), which is critical for aptamer optimization. Here, the assays used to evaluate Kd, including labeled and label‐free assays, are evaluated and suggestions are made to ensure that true values are obtained, while other methods are cautioned.

Unraveling the Versatility of Carbon Black – Polylactic Acid (CB/PLA) 3D‐Printed Electrodes via Sustainable Electrochemical Activation

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Driven by the increasing need for sustainability this study proposes a simple and eco‐compatible activation method for carbon black – polylactic acid (CB/PLA) 3D printed electrodes. This method unlocks favorable features for the implementation of the electrodes in Zn‐ion energy storage and electrochemical sensing systems.

European Guideline on Chronic Nausea and Vomiting—A UEG and ESNM Consensus for Clinical Management

open access: yesUnited European Gastroenterology Journal, Volume 13, Issue 3, Page 427-471, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Chronic nausea and vomiting are symptoms of a wide range of gastrointestinal and non‐gastrointestinal conditions. Diagnosis can be challenging and requires a systematic and well‐structured approach. If the initial investigation for structural, toxic and metabolic disorders is negative, digestive motility and gut‐brain interaction ...

Trait integration varies with resource acquisition strategies in a common perennial crop

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 39, Issue 4, Page 1112-1127, April 2025.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Resource‐acquisitive plant species are expected to show stronger trait integration versus resource‐conservative species, due to simultaneous selection for multiple resource requirements including light, water and nutrients.
