Drymarchon corais and Caiman crocodilus are reported here using different feeding behaviors for consuming poisonous toads of the genus Rhinella (Bufonidae). Drymarchon corais was observed feeding on specimens of Rhinella diptycha without avoiding contact

Architecture of the bronchial tree in Cuvier's dwarf caiman (Paleosuchus palpebrosus)
The Anatomical Record, 2022We imaged the lungs of five Cuvier's dwarf caiman (Paleosuchus palpebrosus) via computed tomography (CT) and micro‐computed tomography (μCT) and compared these data to the lungs of the American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis).

Landscape features affect caiman body condition in the middle Araguaia River floodplain
Animal Conservation, 2022Landscape modifications often undermine habitat suitability for species’ persistence, with initial effects observed through the physiological responses of individuals and populations.

Presence of Salmonella spp. was evaluated in yacare caiman (Caiman yacare) and broad-snouted caiman (Caiman latirostris) from a ranching facility in the Argentine Chaco. Crocodilian ranching programs are based on captive breeding of wild-harvested eggs and release of excess hatchlings into the wild.

Spectacled Caiman (Caiman crocodilus)
2022This is the species account about the Spectacled Caiman (Caiman crocodilus), a chapter in the Reptiles of Ecuador book. This account summarizes novel as well as historical information (recognition, natural history, distribution, conservation, etymology, and relevant literature) about the species and provides maps and images to facilitate identification
