Allantoinase from nodules of pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan)
Phytochemistry, 1985Abstract Allantoinase was purified about 10-fold from nitrogen fixing root nodules of pigeonpea ( Cajanus cajan ) using (NH 4 ) 2 S0 4 fractionation and chromatography on Sephadex G-100. The purified preparation showed a specific activity of 1.73 nkat/mg protein, M r of 125 000, pH optimum between 7.5 and 7.7 and K m of 13.3 mM.
