Calcium Hydroxide in Endodontics: An Overview

open access: yesOpen Journal of Stomatology, 2016
Background: Calcium hydroxide has been used in dentistry since several decades. It has been used in a number of applications in the field of endodontics such as root resorption, intracanal medicament, and root canal sealers. Although this material exhibits several advantages, it also has some limitations.

Advancing Electronic Application of Coordination Solids: Enhancing Electron Transport and Device Integration via Surface‐Mounted MOFs (SURMOFs)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

Effect of calcium hydroxide on fracture resistance and microhardness of dentin in human teeth: A systematic review

open access: yesEndodontology, 2022
Aim: Calcium hydroxide to date is a widely used intracanal medicament during endodontic treatment. Long duration of exposure of dentin to calcium hydroxide may influence the fracture resistance and microhardness of dentin thereby affecting the tooth. The

Evolving Platinum‐Copper Nanostructures for Enhanced Photothermal Therapy and Controlled Copper Release in Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Platinum‐Copper bimetallic nanoparticles may evolve depending on their synthesis under tumor microenvironment conditions and play a dual role as chemotherapeutic agents after releasing Cu ions and as near infrared photothermal agents with the Pt‐rich remaining frames.

Calcium hydroxide curing for accelerated carbonation testing of high volume fly ash cementitious blends [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
During wet curing, the alkali concrete compounds, such as calcium hydroxide, can be leached out to the curing solution, due to the pH gradient between concrete and curing solution.

Calcium hydroxide silylation reaction with trimethylchlorosilane [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
The silylation reaction of a calcium hydroxide with a trimethylchlorosilane is studied as a silylation model by the gas-liquid chromatography. The silylation process is divided into three stages. A material balance of these stages is calculated. The schemes of the reactions at each stage of the process are proposed.
