Clinical calcium, 2005
The full grown fetus at term contains about 21 g of calcium. During growth, this increases steadily to the 1,000 g seen in the typical adult. The increase in body calcium content is supported by calcium intake. Although the healthy bone growth requires adequate calcium intake and physical activities, their precise needs are still controversial.
