The adaptation of epoxy resin and calcium silicate-based sealers in the middle third of the root canal wall: In vitro study

open access: yesSaudi Endodontic Journal, 2023
Introduction: An ideal sealer produces a hermetic closure, does not cause tooth discoloration, is bacteriostatic, insoluble in tissue fluids and biocompatible, and has good adhesion and a long setting time. Until now, no sealer material has met all these

Diffusion-reaction model for alkali-silica reaction in concrete [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A new diffusion-reaction model for the potentially deleterious Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) process in concrete is presented. The model involves three coupled diffusion processes, two in-goingand one out-goingfrom the aggregate viewpoint. Alkali (Na+ and

Unlocking the Power of Quercetin‐Encapsulated Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles: A Multifunctional Approach to Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGNs) are investigated for bone regeneration given their remarkable structural and functional properties. MBGNs are functionalized with Mn and Cu and incorporated with quercetin, a natural flavonoid exhibiting antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.

Silicate Scaling Formation: Impact of pH in High-Temperature Reservoir and Its Characterization Study

open access: yesBulletin of Chemical Reaction Engineering & Catalysis, 2022
Silicate scaling tends to form and be aggravated during high pH Alkaline Surfactant Polymer (ASP) floods and this silicate scale deposition affects oil production. Hence, it is important to examine the conditions that lead to silicate scale forming.
