ABSTRACT Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) was the first hydraulic cement used in endodontics. It is composed of Portland cement, a binder in concrete, and bismuth oxide to enhance the radiopacity. MTA was introduced in dentistry to be used as a root‐end filling material and also to repair root perforations.

Relationship between strength development and pozzolanic reactions in lime stabilized kaolinite

This study contributes to the quantitative understanding of kaolinite reactions with lime over two years. Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) increased linearly with time, doubling within one year, followed by a 14% decrease.
