The Fourth Hybrid Power Mean Involving the Character Sums and Exponential Sums
In this paper, we consider the fourth hybrid power mean involving two-term exponential sums and third-order character sum modulo p, a topic of significant importance in analytic number theory.

Modified Formulas for Calculation of Encephalization Quotient in Dogs [PDF]
Abstract ObjectiveDogs are a breed of animals that play important roles, ranging from security passing through companionship to models of research for application in humans. Intelligence is the key factor to success in life, most especially for dogs that are used for security purposes at the airports, seaports, public places, houses, schools ...

Calculating the Greeks by cubature formulae
We provide cubature formulae for the calculation of derivatives of expected values in the spirit of Terry Lyons and Nicolas Victoir. In financial mathematics derivatives of option prices with respect to initial values, so called Greeks, are of particular importance as hedging parameters.

By calculating the Kullback–Leibler divergence between two probability measures belonging to different exponential families dominated by the same measure, we obtain a formula that generalizes the ordinary Fenchel–Young divergence.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

A Formula for Calculating Some Schur Indices
This paper describes a method for calculating the Schur indices of irreducible characters of finite groups satisfying certain hypotheses (Theorem 2.4). Those hypotheses are satisfied for all irreducible characters of the special linear groups and so theorem 2.4 can be applied to calculate the Schur index of irreducible characters of the special linear ...

Update on Intraocular Lens Formulas and Calculations
Investigators, scientists, and physicians continue to develop new methods of intraocular lens (IOL) calculation to improve the refractive accuracy after cataract surgery. To gain more accurate prediction of IOL power, vergence lens formulas have incorporated additional biometric variables, such as anterior chamber depth, lens thickness, white-to-white ...
