The technique of determining the small angular deviations by an electrostatic sensor

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics, 2022
Some methods for determining small angular deviations have been considered on the example of building objects. The design of an electrostatic cylindrical sensor was put forward, and the use of force action of an electric field was proposed in order to ...

Lattice calculation of $\kappa$ meson

open access: yes, 2011
We study the $\kappa$ meson in 2+1 flavor QCD with sufficiently light $u/d$ quarks. Using numerical simulation we measure the point-to-point $\kappa$ correlators in the "Asqtad" improved staggered fermion formulation.

Critical Analysis of “Maximum Stress Failure Criterion” for Composite Materials

open access: yesThe Annals of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati. Fascicle IX, Metallurgy and Materials Science, 2009
The paper deals with critical considerations upon different points of view that were enounced by some authors referring to Maximum Stress Failure Criterion for composite materials. The considerations stem both from a comparative analysis of the mentioned

Adherence to Protocol Recommendations for Children With Wilms Tumour in Two Consecutive Studies in the United Kingdom and Ireland—Does Variation Matter?

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Comparative Validation of the fBrake Method with the Conventional Brake Efficiency Test Under UNE 26110 Using Roller Brake Tester Data

open access: yesSensors
In periodic technical inspections (PTIs), evaluating the braking efficiency of light passenger vehicles at their Maximum Authorized Mass (MAM) presents a practical challenge, as bringing laden vehicles to inspection is often unfeasible due to logistical ...

Groupitizing Improves Estimation of Numerosity of Auditory Sequences

open access: yesFrontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2021
Groupitizing is a recently described phenomenon of numerosity perception where clustering items of a set into smaller “subitizable” groups improves discrimination.

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.
