Quasiparticle Solutions to the 1D Nonlocal Fisher–KPP Equation with a Fractal Time Derivative in the Weak Diffusion Approximation

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this paper, we propose an approach for constructing quasiparticle-like asymptotic solutions within the weak diffusion approximation for the generalized population Fisher–Kolmogorov–Petrovskii–Piskunov (Fisher–KPP) equation, which incorporates nonlocal

Somatostatin receptor 4 (SSTR4) is a tumor suppressor in cutaneous and head & neck squamous cell carcinomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

Partial FAK suppression promotes tumor growth, an effect reversed by macrophage p110δ PI3K inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Partial inhibition of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) can paradoxically promote tumor growth, rather than simply producing a weaker antitumor effect than that observed with strong FAK suppression. In breast cancer and melanoma models, targeting p110δ PI3K, particularly in macrophages, counteracted these tumor‐promoting effects, highlighting the importance ...

Multidual Complex Numbers and the Hyperholomorphicity of Multidual Complex-Valued Functions

open access: yesAxioms
We develop a rigorous algebraic–analytic framework for multidual complex numbers DCn within the setting of Clifford analysis and establish a comprehensive theory of hyperholomorphic multidual complex-valued functions.

Profiling neoadjuvant therapy response in rectal cancer using meta‐analysis of publicly available transcriptomic RNA‐seq datasets

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates publicly available transcriptomic datasets to identify molecular signatures associated with response to neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer. By analyzing a combination of multiple cohorts with bioinformatics approaches, we reveal biological pathways and immune‐related features that may improve ...

Universal Graph Representation of Stabilizer Codes

open access: yesPRX Quantum
While stabilizer tableaus have proven useful as a descriptive tool for additive quantum codes, they otherwise offer little guidance for concrete constructions or algorithm analysis. We introduce a representation of stabilizer codes as graphs with certain

Unification and anti-unification in the calculus of constructions [PDF]

open access: yes[1991] Proceedings Sixth Annual IEEE Symposium on Logic in Computer Science, 2002
Algorithms for unification and anti-unification in the calculus of constructions, where occurrences of free variables (the variables subject to instantiation) are restricted to higher-order patterns, are presented. Most general unifiers and least common anti-instances are shown to exist and are unique up to a simple equivalence.

Extracellular vesicle lipidomics liquid biopsy reveals systemic and tumor microenvironment metabolic reprogramming in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicle (EV) lipidomic profiling of plasma and ascites from patients with high‐grade serous ovarian cancer and of ovarian cancer cell lines reveals enrichment of triglycerides (TGs), diacylglycerols (DGs), phosphatidylcholine (PCs), sphingomyelins (SMs), reflecting tumor metabolic reprogramming.

Issues for Achieving an Experimental Model Concerning Bubble Deck Concrete Slab with Spherical Gaps

open access: yesBulletin of the Polytechnic Institute of Jassy: Constructions, Architechture Section, 2010
After realizing numerous constructions in the world, which use Bubble Deck concrete slabs with spherical gaps, valuable information were gathered, allowing a rigorous processing and systematization, with the purpose of realizing an experimental and ...
