Calf pseudohypertrophy due to radiculopathy is an exceptional phenomenon rarely described. We report a 67 year old woman with a previous history of lumbar disc surgery consulting by progressive increase for more than a year of evolution painless right calf associated loss of strength.

Gross post mortem and histopathological changes are described in a calf with toxoplasmosis. The major pathological changes were restricted to the lungs and kidneys and comprised interstitial pneumonia with multifocal necrosis, and glomerular necrosis. Many pseudocysts were present in both organs.

There are several articles on the positioning of calf implants that emphasize the anatomic planes in which they should be placed. However, in none of them are the anatomical characteristics that make calves look attractive specified, and neither are the region's anatomic characteristics that guide us to acquire some criteria about the type, design ...

This paper describes a method of calf augmentation by using gel-filled implants to correct thin or asymmetrical legs. The implants are placed over both heads of the gastrocnemius muscle beneath the fascia cruris superficialis. In order to simplify Glitzenstein's procedure, modified implants were developed by the author. In over 25 cases, this technique

Actinomycetous infections typically involve either the head and neck or the extremities following a traumatic implantation. Classic clinical associations are draining sinus tracts. This case report describes the pathologic and MR findings of a relatively acute mycetomatous process involving the soft tissues. Pathologic findings in this case included an

SUMMARY A 6-month-old calf was lame in both hindlimbs. A circumscribed diffuse swelling had developed over the medial malleolus of each tibia. Radiographic examination and histologic examination of the bone biopsy specimen revealed acute osteomyelitis. Antibiotic therapy, both intravenously and directly into the distal end of each tibia, did not result

I present my experience with calf augmentation surgery for improvement of the contour of so-called "thin legs" due to hypotrophy of the gastrocnemius muscles and the local skin covering. A special type of silicone-gel prosthesis is placed between the muscle and its fascia.

SUMMARY Coccidia of the genus Cryptosporidium were detected at necropsy in a 2-week-old calf that had had diarrhea for 10 days. Cryptosporidial organisms were observed in various stages of their life cycle in the crypts of Lieberkühn and embedded in the microvillus border of the epithelium of the small and large intestines.
