A Dual‐Functional Membrane for CO2 Capture and Electrocatalytic Reduction
CO2 capture and utilization are usually done in separate unit operations. Using laser‐induced pyrolysis, we transformed a mixed matrix polyimide gas separation membrane into a cathode capable of separating carbon dioxide from gas mixtures and reducing it to formate at the same time.

The diel niche of brown bears: constraints on adaptive capacity in human‐modified landscapes
Diel activity rhythms, representing the behavioral pattern of the sleep–wake cycle, may be adjusted by wildlife in response to changes in environmental conditions. An increase in nocturnality is typically recognized as an adaptive strategy to segregate from humans and mitigate heat stress. Numerous studies have investigated spatial patterns and habitat

Increased calcification by erythrophagocytosis in aortic valvular interstitial cells
Abstract Background Calcific aortic valve disease (CAVD) progresses over time to severe aortic stenosis and eventually heart failure. Recent evidence indicates that intraleaflet haemorrhage (ILH) strongly promotes CAVD progression. However, it remains poorly understood how it mechanistically contributes to valvular calcification.

Relationship of malnutrition and frailty on prolonged stay at the hospital in heart failure patients
This abstract presents a study of 200 heart failure patients (average age 72.3 years), assessing the relationship between malnutrition and frailty. Nutritional status was evaluated using the Mini Nutritional Assessment: 63.5% had normal nutrition, 35% were at risk, and 1.5% were malnourished.

Abstract Regulatory genetic toxicology focuses on DNA damage and subsequent gene mutations. However, genotoxic agents can also affect epigenetic marks, and incorporation of epigenetic data into the regulatory framework may thus enhance the accuracy of risk assessment.

BACE1 interfering RNA, metallothionein and ruthenium complexes ([Ru(bpy)2dppz]2+) were all loaded in prussian blue nanoparticles (PRM‐siRNA). PRM‐siRNA under near‐infrared light irradiation showed good photothermal effect and triggered instantaneous opening of blood‐brain barrier for enhanced drug delivery.
