Call Blocking Probabilities under a Probabilistic Bandwidth Reservation Policy in Mobile Hotspots
In this paper we study a mobility-aware call admission control algorithm in a mobile hotspot. To this end, a vehicle is considered which has an access point with a fixed capacity. The vehicle alternates between stop and moving phases. When the vehicle is

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

A Handoff Algorithm of Dynamic Decisions with Extenics for Wireless Cellular Networks
A traditional handoff algorithm always adopts stationary channel preservation schemes that cause the increase of call blocking probability (CBP) and the decrease of system utilization to reduce the call dropping probability (CDP) for handoff call.

Call blocking probabilities in a two‐link multirate loss system for Poisson traffic
The authors propose two multirate teletraffic loss models in a two‐link system that accommodates Poisson arriving calls from different service‐classes with different bandwidth‐per‐call requirements. Each link has two thresholds which refer to the number of in‐service calls in the link.

Role of Intrinsic Electron Trapping in Negative Charging of Amorphous Alumina
Intrinsic electron trapping in amorphous Al2O3 is examined using hybrid‐DFT models spanning a wide density range. Both spontaneous and thermally activated trapping are identified, with pronounced spontaneous localization in dense, partly crystallized structures.

CAC DPLB MCN: A Distributed Load Balancing Scheme in Multimedia Mobile Cellular Networks
The problem of non-uniform traffic demand in different cells of a cellular network may lead to a gross imbalance in the system performance. Thus, the users in hot cells may suffer from low throughput. In this paper, an effective and simple load balancing

A probabilistic threshold-based bandwidth sharing policy for wireless multirate loss networks [PDF]
We propose a probabilistic bandwidth sharing policy, based on the threshold (TH) policy, for a single cell of fixed capacity in a homogeneous wireless cellular network. The cell accommodates random input-traffic originated from $K$ service-classes.
