Beş mayıs 1983 günü 5 günlük bir erkek köpek yavrusu gözündeki purulent akıntıdan şikayetle sağıtım için A. Ü. Veteriner FakültesiKliniğine getirildi. Köpek yavrusunun göz kapakları şişkin olup aralarındaki ufak bir açıklıktan irinli akıntı geliyordu. Göz kapakları makaslaaçıldı ve corneal yüzeyde bulunan iki adet kurt pensle alındı.
