Responses to Scent Marks in a Wild Group of Leontocebus Weddelli: Insights for Sexual Communication
In wild saddleback tamarins, scent marks from the adult breeding female elicited the highest response numbers and received the most overmarks from adult breeding males. Together, these findings suggest that olfaction mediates sexual communication in mate attraction and/or mate guarding.
