Callogenesis and Organogenesis in Eucalyptus tereticornis

Indian Journal of Forestry, 1999
In vitro plantlet production of Eucalyptus tereticornis was established using nodal segments as explants. Healthy calli were produced on MS medium supplemented with 1.0 mg1-1 BAP and 2.0 mg1-1 IAA. Shoot buds were induced from callus sub-cultured on MS medium supplemented with BAP (2 and 4 mg1-1).

INDUCED ANTHER CALLOGENESIS OF CAPSICUM ANNUUM L.

Acta Horticulturae, 2012
The significance of organisms with a single chromosome set, as well as the fully homozygotic lines of double haploids originating from them, in modern breeding programmes has been increasing for numerous plant species. In breeding work on C. annuum L., haploid plants and DH lines are being used increasingly in research related to gene mapping ...

IN VITRO CALLOGENESIS AND AGROBACTERIUM-MEDIATED TRANSFORMATION OF GLOBE ARTICHOKE

Acta Horticulturae, 2012
Micropropagation techniques have been widely applied in globe artichoke (C. cardunculus L. var. scolymus), however, efficient protocols for the establishment of in vitro callogenesis and organogenesis, a pre-requisite for Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation, have not been set up so far.

Cytological events in explants of Arabidopsis thaliana during early callogenesis

Plant Cell Reports, 2007
Leaf explants of diploid (2n = 2x = 10) and autotetraploid (2n = 4x = 20) plants of Arabidopsis thaliana ecotype Columbia were cytologically and cytogenetically analysed to determine the time and the mechanisms of the process of polyploidization. The first polyploid cells were observed after the third day of culture in both genotypes of explants ...

Callogenesis and Carbohydrate Utilization in Lemna minor

Journal of Plant Physiology, 1991
Summary Callus of Lemna minor L. was generated by fracturing whole plants which had been pre-conditioned to auxin containing callogenesis medium. Chlorophyll accumulation during callus growth and growth rate itself were sucrose-dependent. I have attempted to identify among common carbon-supplements those which support plant growth in vivo but not ...

Callogenesis and Organogenesis in Casuarina equisetifolia F.R. & G.Forst

Indian Journal of Forestry, 1997
Explants of apical meristem collected from two year old Casuarina equisetifolia were cultured on half MS and MS media supplemented with or without auxins (NAA, 2, 4-D and IBA), cytokinins (Kinetin and DAP) and other supplement (activated charcoal) in different dual and triple combinations.

Callogenesis and Shoot Organogenesis from Flowers of Stevia rebaudiana (Bert.)

Sugar Tech, 2011
The callogenic and shoot organogenic potential of the medicinaly important plant, S. rebaudiana were investigated. Callus induction and shoot regeneration were induced from flower explants of greenhouse plants incubated on Murashige and Skoog (MS)-medium supplemented with different plant growth regulators (PGRs).

2,4-D AND KINETIN IN CALLOGENESIS OF FICUS CARICA L.

Acta Horticulturae, 2007
The cultivation of a unique commercial variety, exclusively using vegetative propagation, can contribute to the proliferation of pathogens, and restricts the potential of Brazilian fig production. Fig breeding using conventional methods is practically nonexistent in Brazil because of pollination problems and also because of the total absence of the ...

Initiation of callogenesis in coconut palm (Cocos nucifera L.)

1995
Although in vitro propagation of coconut palms has been researched for more than two decades [1, 7], this species remains recalcitrant and is still solely propagated sexually. Success in producing a very limited number of plantlets through in vitro propagation by somatic embryogenesis has been reported [2], but it is disappointing that during these two
