Cotyledon explants were first cultured on MS medium supplemented with 4.52 M 2,4-D and 0.46 mM kinetin. The development of the calli was followed (0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 and 32 days after) and the growth curve was determined, based in fresh and dry ...

Zingiber zerumbet Smith is an important herb that contains bioactive phytomedicinal compound, zerumbone. To enhance cell growth and production of this useful compound, we investigated the growth conditions of cell suspension culture. Embryogenic callus generated from shoot bud was used to initiate cell suspension culture.

Effets du type et de la position de l'explant sur l'induction de cals chez le gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus) [PDF]
Effects of Explant Kind and Position on Calli Induction in Gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus). Callogenesis in gerbera (Gerbera jamesonii Bolus 'Fredigor') was successfully induced from leaves and floral peduncles on a medium containing 1 mg.l-1 2.4-D and

Various explants (stem, leaf, and root) of Citrus assamensis were cultured on MS media supplemented with various combinations and concentrations (0.5–2.0 mgL−1) of NAA and BAP. Optimum shoot and root regeneration were obtained from stem cultures supplemented with 1.5 mgL−1 NAA and 2.0 mgL−1 BAP, respectively.

Callogenesis of Durio zibethinus using flower bud explant [PDF]
Propagation of superior durian (Durio zibethinus) are constrained due to the limited number of the tree. Grafting and budding are commonly used in durian propagation, however these techniques give destructive effect to mother plant. Alternatively, in vitro technique can be chosen for propagation of superior durian.

OBTAINING CALLUS CULTURES OF COMMON MUGWORT (ARTEMISIA VULGARIS L.)
Background. One of the alternative sources of obtaining biologically active substances is a culture of plant cells in vitro. The objective of this work is to introduce Artemisia vulgaris in the callus culture. The plant grows in Central Yakutia, known

Kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) is one of the important species of Hibiscus cultivated for fiber. Availability of homozygous parent lines is prerequisite to the use of the heterosis effect reproducible in hybrid breeding. The production of haploid plants by anther culture followed by chromosome doubling can be achieved in short period compared with ...

The leaf of Gardenia jasminoides Ellis was used as explants and was cultured on MS and WPM media supplemented with various concentrations of NAA, IAA, 2,4‐D, IBA, TDZ, and Kn (0 to 5 mg L−1 with 0.5 increment). After six months, the higher percentage of callus (100%) and the best dry and fresh weight of callus were formed on WPM medium supplemented ...
