Leaf Blight of Buxus sempervirens in Northern Forests of Iran Caused by Calonectria pseudonaviculata

open access: yesPlant Disease, 2013
Buxus sempervirens subsp. hyrcana (Pojark.) Takht. (boxwood) is an evergreen shrub/tree in Caspian hyrcanian forests covering the Alborz mountain range of northern Iran. During the summer of 2012, a sudden leaf and twig blight disease of boxwood was observed throughout the northern forests of Iran.

Genetic mapping and validation of QTLs associated with resistance to Calonectria leaf blight caused by Calonectria pteridis in Eucalyptus

open access: yesTree Genetics & Genomes, 2014
Calonectria leaf blight (CLB) caused by Calonectria pteridis is one of the main leaf diseases in Brazilian Eucalyptus plantations in warm climates with prolonged periods of rain. The main symptoms are leaf spots followed by intense defoliation in highly susceptible plants.

Data for transcriptome and proteome analysis of Eucalyptus infected with Calonectria pseudoreteaudii

open access: yesData in Brief, 2015
Cylindrocladium leaf blight is one of the most important diseases in Eucalyptus plantations. We investigated the proteome and transcriptome of Eucalyptus infected or not infected with Calonectria pseudoreteaudii. Here we provide the information about the

Antifungal chemical signatures of Trichoderma isolates against the incitants of Calonectria leaf blight of Eucalyptus

open access: yes, 2023
India has a net planted area of 3.9 mha of Eucalyptus out of  the world total of 20.6 mha (Iglesias-Trabado et al. 2009).Calonectria Leaf Blight (CLB) is a serious constraint to Eucalyptus cultivation in India and worldwide (Bose et al. 2022a).The Calonectria species known to cause CLB of Eucalyptus species in India include, Ca. reteaudii, Ca.

Calcium and Potassium Imbalance Favours Leaf Blight and Defoliation Caused by Calonectria pteridis in Eucalyptus Plants [PDF]

open access: yesForests, 2018
The supply of nutrients in balanced proportions leads to greater crop yields and represents an alternative practice for the management of plant diseases. Accordingly, we investigated the effect of the doses of and the nutritional balance between calcium (Ca) and potassium (K) on the severity of leaf spot and defoliation caused by the fungus Calonectria

Leaf blight in a Eucalyptus plantation caused by Calonectria spp. originating from both leaves and soils

open access: yes, 2023
Abstract Calonectria leaf blight (CLB) is one of the best-known diseases of Eucalyptus spp., particularly in Asia and South America. Recently, typical symptoms of leaf and shoot blight caused by Calonectria spp. were observed in a Eucalyptus plantation in the YunNan Province of southwestern China.

First Report of Calonectria Leaf Blight Caused by Calonectria metrosideri on Eucalyptus benthamii in Brazil

open access: yesPlant Disease, 2019
Eucalyptus species are among the main hosts of Calonectria fungus (anamorph Cylindrocladium), causing blight of leaf and branch tissues. In December 2015, an outbreak of leaf blight was observed in a progeny test of Eucalyptus benthamii Maiden & Cambage located in São Mateus do Sul (Paraná state) and in Mafra and Porto União (Santa Catarina state ...

Calonectria metrosideri, a highly aggressive pathogen causing leaf blight, root rot, and wilt of Metrosideros spp. in Brazil [PDF]

open access: yesForest Pathology, 2013
SummaryThe genus Metrosideros includes several tree, shrub and vine species, native to the Pacific Islands. Seedlings from 25 seed lots of Metrosideros polymorpha and two seed lots of M. tremuloides with symptoms of root rot, stem girdling, wilting and round, purple leaf spots were observed in the Forestry Nursery at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa,
