Effects of Coal Oxidation on Calorific Value

open access: yesEnergy Sources, 1999
A brief investigation of the effects of oxidation on the calorific values of three Turkish lignite samples has been made. The lignite samples have been vacuum dried and oxidized in pure oxygen at 35, 45, and 55 C at 100 kPa for 10 days. The calorific values of the oxidized and unoxidized samples have been measured.

Estimation of Calorific Values of Fuels from Lignocellulosics

Energy Sources Part A Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects, 1997
Four formulae have been developed for estimating the higher heating values of fuels from different lignocellulosics from their ultimate analysis data. In order to obtain these formulae, 25 samples from different sources were analyzed to calculate calorific values by using ultimate analysis data.

Seed Calorific Value in Different Maize Genotypes

open access: yesEnergy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects, 2011
Abstract Biomass represents an important source of renewable energy, and in most countries it is now considered essential for environmental policies to include sustainable energy production. The direct burning of maize grains contaminated by mycotoxins for house heating or for harvested grain drying may represent an interesting and economically ...

Estimation of calorific values of Turkish lignites

Fuel, 1991
Abstract New formulae have been developed for estimating the calorific values of Turkish lignites from their proximate analyses data. In order to obtain these formulae, 24 Turkish lignites from different areas were analysed to obtain calorific values and proximate analyses.
