The motivation for PF calorimetry is to experimentally measure the energyof hadron jets with excellent resolution. In particle flow designs, σ/E < 5%should be possible for a range of jet energies from ∼ 50 GeV to ∼ 250 GeV, im-portant particularly for experiments at electron-positron colliders (ILC, CLIC,FCCee, CEPC). The high granularity, which

The share of technical thermoplastics is expected to grow further in the e‐mobility segment. In this study, a detailed temperature‐based tribological characterization of technical thermoplastics is performed. The tribological properties are discussed in terms of the dynamic mechanical properties of polymers at different ambient temperatures. A proof of

Vacuum‐Formed Composites Based on a Polyolefin and a High Content of Biomass‐Waste Fillers
It is shown here that by the use of a very ductile polymer matrix, it is possible to vacuum‐form products that contain up to 25% of hard biofillers with still ductile properties. The results are promising and opens up for the use of engineered biocomposites derived from industrial side‐stream biofillers in vacuum‐formed products. A strategy to increase

Precision Crystal Calorimetry in High Energy Physics [PDF]
Crystal Calorimetry is widely used in high energy physics because of its precision. Recent development in crystal technology identified two key issues to reach and maintain crystal precision: light response uniformity and calibration in situ.

An approach to determine enthalpies of formation for ternary compounds [PDF]
An integrated approach of experiment and theoretical computation to acquire enthalpies of formation for ternary compounds is described. The enthalpies of formation (DHf ) for Al71Fe19Si10 and Al31Mn6Ni2 are measured via a calorimeter.

This work reveals the phase composition and quantitative morphology analysis of precipitation‐hardened Fe32Cu12Ni11Ti16Al29 complex‐concentrated alloy. The precipitates are shown to have a high coherency. Morphology transition between sphere, cuboidal, and elongated morphology is observed. Finally, the overaging behavior is captured using microhardness.
