IS CALORIMETRY A CRUCIAL TECHNIQUE FOR STUDYING INNOVATIVE NANOMATERIALS?

open access: yes, 2012
It is well known that calorimetry is a powerful technique to determine the complete energetics of interaction processes. Unfortunately, over the years the calorimetry has been applied to restricted fields so that it has been underemployed in studying ...

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

Resposta da pressão arterial ao esforço em adolescentes: influência do sobrepeso e obesidade Blood pressure response to physical exertion in adolescents: influence of overweight and obesity

Formation of phase composition of petroleum bitumen according to data of temperature modulated differential scanning calorimetry

open access: yes, 2020
© 2017, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary. The analysis of structural and thermal properties of petroleum bitumen is carried out by temperature modulated differential scanning calorimetry. The technique allows to separate equilibrium and non-equilibrium

Isothermal calorimetry and microbial growth : beyond modeling

open access: yes, 2017
A phenomenological approach, based on the simple consideration of the cell duplication mechanism, is suggested to describe the microbial growth monitored through isothermal calorimetry.

Spiro‐Phenothiazine Hole‐Transporting Materials: Unlocking Stability and Scalability in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...

THERMODYNAMICS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN RECOMBINANT HUMAN LYSOSOMAL alfa-GLUCOSIDASE AND PHARMACOLOGICAL CHAPERONES

open access: yes, 2013
Background : Glycogen storage disease type II or Pompe disease is a rare inherited metabolic. Pompe disease is caused by mutations in the gene that encodes the lysosomal hydrolase acid a-glucosidase (GAA).

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.
