Optimization based IMU camera calibration [PDF]
Inertia-visual sensor fusion has become popular due to the complementary characteristics of cameras and IMUs. Once the spatial and temporal alignment between the sensors is known, the fusion of measurements of these devices is straightforward. Determining the alignment, however, is a challenging problem.

Thermoelectric temperature sensors are developed that directly measure heat changes during optical‐based neural stimulation with millisecond precision. The sensors reveal the temperature windows for safe reversible neural modulation: 1.4–4.5 °C enables reversible neural inhibition, while temperatures above 6.1 °C cause permanent thermal damage.

Accurate calibration of stereo cameras for machine vision
Camera calibration is an important task for machine vision, whose goal is to obtain the internal and external parameters of each camera. With these parameters, the 3D positions of a scene point, which is identified and matched in two stereo images, can ...

Photomultiplication organic photodetectors (PM OPDs) are an attractive strategy for health‐monitoring. Here, PM‐OPDs are reported with a specific detectivity of 5.7 × 1012 Jones and external quantum efficiency values of 3500% under −10 V. The dynamics of carrier trapping in these devices are elucidated through trap selective spectroscopical techniques.
