Portrayal of Mental Illness on Television: A Review of the Literature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The focus of this thesis is to present peer-reviewed studies relating to mental illness and television. Up to this point there has not been a review paper exclusively examining mental illness and television exclusively.

Prospective multi‐institutional study of library‐based adaptive radiotherapy for cervical cancer: Evaluation of plan‐of‐the‐day selection and population analysis

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 26, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract Purpose Plan‐of‐the‐day (PoD) adaptive radiation therapy (ART) is based on a library of treatment plans, with 3D daily imaging guiding the plan selection. In a phase II multi‐institutional trial of cone‐beam CT (CBCT)‐guided PoD‐ART for locally advanced cervical carcinoma (LACC), this study aimed at evaluating the PoD selection, its geometric ...

Evidences of the Stabilization for Weeks of the Benzyl Cation in Zeolites

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 3, Issue 6, November 11, 2025.
The benzyl cation is plausibly formed inside zeolites after rearrangement of individually isolated tropylium cations at room temperature. The benzyl cation–entrapped zeolite is stable for weeks without any storage precaution, and a solid–state 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum of this iconic carbocation could be recorded.

Searching for stable fullerenes in space with computational chemistry

open access: yes, 2019
We report a computational study of the stability and infrared (IR) vibrational spectra of neutral and singly ionised fullerene cages containing between 44 and 70 carbon atoms.

C$_{60}$ in Reflection Nebulae [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The fullerene C$_{60}$ has four infrared-active vibrational transitions at 7.0, 8.5, 17.4 and 18.9 $\mu$m. We have previously observed emission features at 17.4 and 18.9 $\mu$m in the reflection nebula NGC 7023 and demonstrated spatial correlations ...

Development and Validation of a High‐Throughput Screening Assay for the Legionella ADP‐Ribosyl Transferase SdeA

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 26, Issue 21, November 8, 2025.
We show the optimization and application of a fluorogenic assay to monitor Legionella SdeA activity in a High‐Throughput‐Screening campaign. Ubiquitination of proteins is one of the most crucial post‐translational modifications in eukaryotic cells, typically involving conjugation of ubiquitin to a lysine residue in a substrate using a three‐enzyme ...

Large Interstellar Polarisation Survey, II : UV/optical study of cloud-to-cloud variations of dust in the diffuse ISM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
It is well known that the dust properties of the diffuse interstellar medium exhibit variations towards different sight-lines on a large scale. We have investigated the variability of the dust characteristics on a small scale, and from cloud-to-cloud. We

Machine Learning Enables Alignment‐Free Distance Calculation and Phylogenetic Placement Using k‐Mer Frequencies

open access: yesMolecular Ecology Resources, Volume 25, Issue 8, November 2025.
ABSTRACT A key application of phylogenetics in ecological studies is identifying unknown sequences with respect to known ones. This goal can be formalised as assigning taxonomic labels or inserting sequences into a reference phylogenetic tree (phylogenetic placement). Much attention has been paid to the phylogenetic placement of short fragments used in

Medical image computing and computer-aided medical interventions applied to soft tissues. Work in progress in urology

open access: yes, 2006
Until recently, Computer-Aided Medical Interventions (CAMI) and Medical Robotics have focused on rigid and non deformable anatomical structures. Nowadays, special attention is paid to soft tissues, raising complex issues due to their mobility and ...
