A more comprehensive transport model for multilayer-cloth for perspiration based infrared camouflage
Applied Thermal Engineering, 2014Abstract In place of the one-dimensional steady-state model assuming the transfer process along the direction of cloth thickness only, a more comprehensive theoretical treatment of coupled heat and moisture transfer process is proposed in this study on the multilayer-cloth for perspiration based infrared camouflage, capable of predicting multi ...

Electromagnetic Scattering from Basic Cloth of Camouflage Net Knitted with Curved Conductive Fibers
2011 Fourth International Joint Conference on Computational Sciences and Optimization, 2011In order to estimate the feasibility of a kind of basic cloth, which is knitted with curved conductive fibers and used to make the camouflage net, the electromagnetic scattering properties of this structure are numerical analyzed. After setting up its two-dimensional periodic structure model, the periodic finite-difference time-domain algorithm is used

Abstract: If the royal body exists to be looked at and acquires its meaning only when it is exposed, then in Thomas Ostermeier’s staging and screening of Shakespeare’s Richard III we have this principle exhibited to its extreme. Taking examples from Ostermeier’s production, I show that what should get our attention, instead, is Richard’s skillful use ...

Development of Cloth, Camouflage, Universal Pattern, Flame Resistant, Wool/Nomex(TM) Blend
2008Abstract : A new camouflage printed fabric in a blend of 50% wool and 50% Nomex was developed. The fabric offers inherent flame resistance, machine wash and tumble dry performance. The new Universal camouflage pattern does not require either piece dye or chemical treatment and used traditional wool dyes only.

The effect of fluorescent whitening agent on hunter camouflage clothing.
Journal of the American Optometric Association, 1993Fluorescent whitening agents (FWAs) are chemicals added to most fabrics and papers during manufacture to increase color temperature, "whiteness," and "brightness." FWAs accomplish this by absorbing energy in the ultraviolet (UV) part of the spectrum and emitting it as visible blue light.

A theoretical analysis was undertaken to explore the feasibility of using phototropic camouflage colorants in combat clothing for protection against the intense flash pulse emitted by a nuclear bomb detonation. Such colorants would undergo rearrangement to colorless forms in the initial stage of the nuclear flash pulse, thereby increasing the re ...
