Seasonal Fluctuations of Plastochromanol‐8 and α‐Tocopherol Amounts in the Leaves of Cecropia Trees

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plastochromanol‐8 (PC‐8) is a homologue of γ‐tocotrienol with a longer side chain (eight instead of three isoprene units) and therefore also a representative of the tocochromanol (vitamin E) group. PC‐8 has been determined in various plants and seeds, with Cecropia sp. leaves showing unusually high levels.

Experimental Studies on CO2 Hydrate Formation Kinetics With Kinetic Promoters

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Carbon dioxide (CO2) sequestration by means of gas hydrate formation is a promising method for mitigating global climate change. However, conventional surfactants like sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) exhibit limitations such as excessive foaming and environmental toxicity. This study examines the effectiveness and environmental impact of Tween 65

A new occurrence of tetrapod footprints from the Late Triassic of the Candelária Sequence, Brazil

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The Hyperodapedon Assemblage Zone of the Candelária Sequence (Santa Maria Supersequence, Paraná Basin) preserves one of the most significant Late Triassic continental vertebrate assemblages in southern Brazil. Despite the relatively well‐documented body fossil record from this interval, ichnological records remain comparatively scarce.
