Species Turnover and Environmental Filtering Structure Plant Communities in Moist Temperate Forests
Plant biodiversity in moist temperate mountain forests is strongly structured by elevational and edaphic gradients that drive community differentiation over short spatial scales. Using integrated vegetation classification, diversity partitioning, and multivariate analyses, we show that species turnover, rather than nestedness, dominates beta diversity,

More than 60% of Serra do Amolar within the Pantanal Wetlands, Brazil, was burned in 2020. Nine vertebrate species showed a dependency on forest areas, which are more vulnerable to fires in this region, despite the fire not having shown a direct effect on the occupation.

Fire‐induced shifts in activity patterns of predators and prey in the Brazilian Pantanal
Using camera trap data, we observed that 5 of 6 prey species showed statistically significant changes in temporal activity patterns, while jaguars were the only predator species to adjust activity when comparing pre‐fire and post‐fire periods in an isolated rocky formation in the Pantanal region.

Eriope barrinhae (Lamiaceae, Hyptidinae), a new montane species from northern Minas Gerais, Brazil
In northern Minas Gerais, in the Monte Azul region, the Pico da Formosa mountain remains poorly explored botanically despite recent discoveries of new taxa. During fieldwork at the summit of this mountain, we discovered a distinctive population of Eriope that differs from all known species by a unique combination of morphological characters.

Floral resource‐mediated multilayer networks: structure and pollinators' roles
Resource availability shapes interactions among free‐living species, particularly in plant–pollinator mutualisms, where the composition of floral resource types influences pollinator foraging. Bees, known for utilizing a broad array of floral resources, play a crucial role in these dynamics. However, how the structure of interaction networks vary among
