Rapid prototyping of a communication controller for the CAN bus
Proceedings Seventh IEEE International Workshop on Rapid System Prototyping. Shortening the Path from Specification to Prototype, 2002This paper presents the rapid prototyping process for a communication controller design. It has been specified at a very high abstraction level with no commitment to the final realization architecture. Via VHDL code generation and synthesis a gate level netlist has been generated.

A Loop-test approach to the vehicle CAN bus
2011 International Conference of Soft Computing and Pattern Recognition (SoCPaR), 2011At present, the CAN(Controller Area Network) bus test technology cannot real-time monitor the network's communication quality of the physical layer. If the bus malfunction happens, the current technology cannot position the malfunction node. Aiming at above shortcomings, this paper puts forward CAN bus Loop-test technology of the comprehensive ...

CAN Bus Experiments of Real-Time Communications
2018This paper presents a benchmark development and the analysis of communication times in a CAN (Controller Area Network) bus. Preemptive and fixed priority scheduling is taken as departure point for the initial experiments and analysis. This method would be adapted for programming CAN messages without preemption of the shared communications channel.

On-the-Fly Secure Group Communication on CAN Bus
2019vatiCAN is a data link protocol which supports authentication and integrity for critical messages, thwarting masquerade and replay attacks on in-vehicle networks, such as CAN bus. Our extension to vatiCAN (called vatiCAN-G) supports on-the-fly secure group communications, improving security through separate 32-bit authentication for group mask, and 64 ...
