Forced degradation study of canagliflozin with the use of HPLC [PDF]
In this work a method for determination of canagliflozin and its degradation products by HPLC with UV and MS detector was developed. The developed method was used to study the forced degradation of canagliflozin and to investigate the major degradation ...

SGLT‐2 Inhibitors are Associated With a Lower Risk of Multiple Myeloma
ABSTRACT Aims We aimed to investigate drug response of sodium‐glucose transport protein‐2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) in multiple myeloma (MM), as SGLT2i have potential favorable effects on conditions related to MM. Methods We conducted a pharmacoepidemiologic study with a US nationwide health insurance claim data using Cox models to investigate the ...

Among 190 older adults who experienced AKI‐related hospitalization after SGLT2 inhibitor initiation, 31.1% were hospitalized within 30 days. In an independent single‐center cohort, sustained early eGFR decline was associated with older age and use of one or two triple‐whammy‐related drug classes.

The Diabetes Drug Canagliflozin Enhances the Response of Prostate Cancer to Radiotherapy [PDF]
Canagliflozin (CANA) is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor used for the treatment of type II diabetes. There is recent evidence suggesting that Canagliflozin has antiproliferative effects against malignant tumours.

Among Japanese adults aged ≥75 years newly initiating SGLT2 inhibitors, SGLT2 inhibitor–specific adverse event‐related discontinuation occurred in 9.1% within 180 days. Frailty and low BMI, rather than chronological age, were the key predictors, highlighting the importance of assessing physiological reserve before treatment initiation.

SGLT2i use and fracture risk compared with DPP4i in patients with T2DM
ABSTRACT Introduction The association between sodium‐glucose cotransporter‐2 inhibitor (SGLT2i) use and fracture risk remains inconclusive. Most previous studies have focused on treatment‐naïve patients, despite many patients in routine clinical practice initiating SGLT2i therapy after prior dipeptidyl peptidase‐4 inhibitor (DPP4i) use.
