Smear layer in endodontics [PDF]

open access: yesStomatološki glasnik Srbije, 2005
Modern methods of root canal cleaning and filing are causing formation of the smear layer on treated surfaces. The aim of this paper was to review clinical aspect of smear layer in endodontics.

Classifications of Canal Surfaces with the Gauss Maps in Minkowski 3-Space

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this work, we study the canal surfaces foliated by pseudo spheres S12 along a Frenet curve in terms of their Gauss maps in Minkowski 3-space. Such kind of surfaces with pointwise 1-type Gauss maps are classified completely.

EPI-HYPOCYCLOIDS AND EPI-HYPOCYCLOIDAL CANAL SURFACES

open access: yesStructural Mechanics of Engineering Constructions and Buildings, 2018
In the article are regarded the curves - epiand hypocycloids, which are formed by the moving of the generating points, linked with the circles of the same radius and which are at the same time outside and inside of the unmoving circle. There is shown the

Pseudomyxoma peritonei involving the canal of Nuck: The added value of magnetic resonance imaging for detection and presurgical planning

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2022
The canal of Nuck is an abnormal patent pouch of the parietal peritoneum caused by the incomplete obliteration of the processus vaginalis in females. The most common disorders of the canal of Nuck are: hernia, hydrocele and endometriosis.

Geometric Characterizations of Canal Surfaces in Minkowski 3-Space II

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
Canal surfaces are defined and divided into nine types in Minkowski 3-space E 1 3 , which are obtained as the envelope of a family of pseudospheres S 1 2 , pseudohyperbolic spheres H 0 2 , or lightlike cones Q 2 , whose ...

The implicit equation of a canal surface

open access: yesJournal of Symbolic Computation, 2009
A canal surface is an envelope of a one parameter family of spheres. In this paper we present an efficient algorithm for computing the implicit equation of a canal surface generated by a rational family of spheres. By using Laguerre and Lie geometries, we relate the equation of the canal surface to the equation of a dual variety of a certain curve in 5-

Morphological Analyses of Effects of Endodontic Irrigant Solutions Using a Root Canal Model and an Immersion Model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dentistry, 2023
Objective. This study aimed to compare an experimental model simulating clinical root canal irrigation (root canal model) with a conventional experimental model immersing dentin sample to irrigants (immersion model) to evaluate removal of the smear layer

Symbolic parametrization of pipe and canal surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2000 international symposium on Symbolic and algebraic computation, 2000
A canal surface S, generated by a parametrized curve m(t), in R3 is the envelope of the set of spheres with radius r(t) centered at m(t). This concept generalizes the classical offsets (for r(t) = const) of plane curves. In this paper we develop elementary symbolic methods for generating a rational parametrization of canal surfaces generated by ...
