[Estimates of circulating breast cancer-associated antigen CA 15-3 as a monitoring marker in patients with breast cancer].

Gan to kagaku ryoho. Cancer & chemotherapy, 1987
CA 15-3 is a newly developed tumor marker detected by breast tumor-associated antigen 115D8/DF3 and is being studied as a monitoring marker in breast cancer patients (pts), even though its sensitivity as a screening marker is not so high. The cut off value of CA 15-3 was set at 27 U/ml.

Pretreatment values of serum CA 15-3 antigen related to prognostic factors in breast cancer patients.

Neoplasma, 1996
In the present study results of serum CA 15-3 immunoassay obtained at diagnosis in 231 breast cancer women (average age: 54.6, range: 27-87 years) were correlated with prognostic factors of the disease; the cut-off level was established at 30.0 U/ ml.

Mammary serum antigen (MSA), Ca 549, CA 15-3 and CEA in breast cancer preoperative sensitivity and correlation to prognostic factors.

Anticancer research, 1997
Previously a higher preoperative sensitivity of the mucin like glycoprotein Mammary Serum Antigen (MSA) compared to established tumor markers was reported. The aim of our study was the comparison of MSA and CA 549, CA 15-3 and CEA in primary breast cancer and the correlation to prognostic factors.

B-364 Changing Immunochemistry Platforms: Analytical and Clinical analysis of cancer antigen (CA) 15-3 and 27.29 testing

Clinical Chemistry
Abstract Background Tumor marker (TM) testing plays an important role in monitoring chemotherapy response in metastatic breast cancer. While the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) guidelines consider CA 15-3 and CA 27.29 clinically equivalent, they differ analytically due to distinct ...
