Candidúria: uma abordagem clínica e terapêutica Candiduria: a clinical and therapeutic approach
O achado laboratorial de candidúria traz dilemas em relação a sua interpretação visto que pode refletir uma amplitude de possibilidades clínicas, incluindo colonização, infecção urinária alta ou doença sistêmica por Candida spp. Neste artigo, abordaremos

The Significance of Candiduria
Candida, which is not detectable in the urine of healthy individuals, was found in 6.5% of patient's urine. Most of the patients developing candiduria had higher-titered circulating antibody to the fungus than healthy persons did. There existed a definite relationship between the serum antibody titer and the duration of candiduria.

Galleria mellonella as an alternative in vivo model to study implant‐associated fungal infections
Abstract Fungal implant‐associated bone infections are rare but difficult to treat and often associated with a poor outcome for patients. Candida species account for approximately 90% of all fungal infections. In vivo biofilm models play a major role to study biofilm development and potential new treatment options; however, there are only a very few in

A murine model for catheter-associated candiduria [PDF]
Candiduria is a common finding in hospitalized patients with indwelling urine-draining devices. Animal models for candiduria are not well-developed and, despite its prevalence and associated mortality, candiduria is understudied. The presence of Candida in urine does not imply disease because it is also a commensal.
