Serum antibody response to canine parvovirus, canine adenovirus-1, and canine distemper virus in dogs with known status of immunization: Study of dogs in Sweden

American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1988
SUMMARY Serum antibody titers to canine parvovirus (cpv), canine adenovirus-1 (cav-1), and canine distemper virus (cdv) were measured in dogs with known immunization status. The dogs represented 3 groups: nonvaccinated dogs < 12 months old; vaccinated dogs < 12 month old; and adult dogs > 12 months old.

Infectious canine hepatitis: detection of canine adenovirus type 1 by polymerase chain reaction.

Acta veterinaria Hungarica, 1996
A primer pair and a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method earlier tested for the detection of human and animal adenoviruses were used to demonstrate the presence of canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1) in tissue culture and clinical specimens. A simple procedure of sample preparation was elaborated making the PCR easily applicable in rapid confirmation of

Immunity to canine adenovirus respiratory disease: a comparison of attenuated CAV-1 and CAV-2 vaccines

Veterinary Record, 1982
Four litters of puppies were divided into three groups. One group was vaccinated with a live CAV-1 vaccine and another with a live CAV-2 vaccine. Throat swabs were collected from two dogs in each of these groups to monitor the possible excretion of vaccine virus, but none was found.

[Purification and properties of the hexon antigen of canine adenovirus serotype CAV-1].

Biokhimiia (Moscow, Russia), 1991
The main antigen and immunogen of canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1) has been purified to near homogeneity from cultural fluid of a CAV-1-infected primary cell culture by hydrophobic and anion-exchange chromatography. The hexon native form (trimer) was shown to be resistant against denaturation by SDS under conditions of SDS-PAGE performed without ...

Antibody titers for canine parvovirus type-2, canine distemper virus, and canine adenovirus type-1 in adult household dogs.

The Canadian veterinary journal = La revue veterinaire canadienne, 2012
Serum antibody titers for canine parvovirus type-2 (CPV-2), canine distemper virus (CDV) and canine adenovirus type-1 (CAV-1) were investigated in 1031 healthy adult household dogs (2 to 18 years old) given an annual inoculation in the previous 11 to 13 months.

Isolation and molecular characterization of a new strain of canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1) in Iraq

Journal of Experimental Zoology India
This study aimed to isolate and identify a new strain of Canine Adenovirus Type 1 (CAV-1) from infected dogs in Iraq, evaluate its molecular characteristics, and assess the hematological and biochemical insights in CAV-1 infections in Iraq. A total of 170 local breed dogs, ranging from 1 month to 3 years of age, were selected from four provinces in ...

Three-year duration of immunity in dogs following vaccination against canine adenovirus type-1, canine parvovirus, and canine distemper virus.

Veterinary therapeutics : research in applied veterinary medicine, 2005
A challenge-of-immunity study was conducted to demonstrate immunity in dogs 3 years after their second vaccination with a new multivalent, modified-live vaccine containing canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2), canine parvovirus (CPV), and canine distemper virus (CDV). Twenty-three seronegative pups were vaccinated at 7 and 11 weeks of age.
