A case of canine cutaneous reactive histiocytosis over the body trunk in an adult pit bull terrier
Abstract The objective of this report is to present a case of canine cutaneous reactive histiocytosis with a high number of dendritic cells. A 7‐year‐old male pit bull terrier was presented with a 5‐month history of skin nodules and plaques on the trunk of varying diameter, along with corneal oedema and anterior uveitis.

Abstract Fever, non‐regenerative anaemia and leukopenia were documented in a 7‐year‐old, entire, male Akita Inu dog. The serum biochemistry and urinalysis were unremarkable. Tests for infectious agents were negative, except for SNAP 4Dx seropositive for Anaplasma phagocytophilum or A. platys. PCR for Anaplasma spp. was negative.

Barberry (Berberis vulgaris) root extract shows potential in treating cutaneous leishmaniasis caused by Leishmania major. In a BALB/c mouse model, treatment significantly reduced wound size and parasite load while enhancing inflammatory markers IL‐1 and IL‐6. These results highlight barberry's therapeutic promise against leishmaniasis.

Long‐term survival in a dog with suspected primary nodal plasmacytoma treated with surgical excision
Abstract An 8‐year‐old Staffordshire bull terrier presented for left submandibular lymphadenopathy. Cytology showed a monomorphic population of mature plasma cells suggestive of plasma cell neoplasia. On physical examination, no other lymphadenomegaly, cutaneous or oral lesions were found.
