A variety of impacting factors in the pathogenesis of periodontitis exist, including systemic, lifestyle, and environmental factors. This review highlights the manifold mechanistic aspects of the link between the pathogenesis of periodontitis, addressing these numerous factors to supplement the long‐standing knowledge of the progression of the disease.

Targeting Orexin 2 Receptors in Idiopathic Hypersomnia and Narcolepsy: A Randomised Phase 1b Proof‐Of‐Concept Study of Alixorexton

Orexin 2 receptor agonists have demonstrated that targeting the orexin system may address symptoms of central disorders of hypersomnolence. Results of this phase 1 study support the phase 2 clinical evaluation of oral alixorexton in patients with IH, NT2 and NT1.
