Cantrell et al. Respond

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Public Health, 2014
We thank Sheehan for her comments. We are aware of the known correlation between racial segregation and neighborhood-level socioeconomic status (SES). However, the high correlation between these two measures can make it challenging to implement the analyses strategies recommended.

Identification of chromosome‐specific simple sequence repeat markers to characterize the Langdon durum D‐genome disomic substitution lines

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Genetic studies of durum wheat (Triticum turgidum L. ssp. durum [Desf.] Husnot.) provide valuable information for crop improvement. In the 1980s, D‐genome disomic chromosome substitution (DS) lines were developed, which involved the substitution of a pair of D‐genome chromosomes from hexaploid wheat (T.

Pentalogy of Cantrell: case report [PDF]

open access: yesMedical Journal Armed Forces India, 2011
Pentalogy of Cantrell (thoracoabdominal ectopia cordis) is a rare congenital syndrome of abdominal wall defect, lower sternal defect, diaphragmatic pericardial defect, anterior diaphragmatic defect, and intracardiac abnormalities. First described by Cantrell in 1958, the syndrome occurs sporadically with variable degrees of expression.1 Less than 90 ...

Effect of Diet Neutral Detergent Fibre Content on Dry Matter Intake, Nutrient Digestibility, Growth Efficiency and Carcass Characteristics of Finishing South African Mutton Merino Wether Lambs

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 2, March 2026.
Feeding South African Mutton Merino lambs low‐NDF lucerne hay diets improved nutrient digestibility, energy utilisation, growth efficiency, and carcass quality. Despite lower intake at the lowest NDF level, fibre digestibility and feed conversion improved, indicating that highly digestible, low‐NDF finishing diets enhance lamb growth and carcass traits.

Altered Cytokine‐Induced STAT3 and STAT5 Activation of Peripheral T Follicular Helper Cells Contributes to Vaccine‐Non‐Responsiveness in Aging and HIV

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 3, March 2026.
Chronic immune activation and inflammation associated with aging and HIV skew Tfh signaling toward enhanced IL‐2–STAT5 activation, reinforcing IL‐2R expression through a positive feedback loop and suppressing Tfh helper differentiation programs, thereby contributing to impaired vaccine responsiveness.

Ice‐Nucleating Particle and Cloud Ice Crystal Concentrations Associated With Developing Summertime Deep Convective Clouds in South‐Western USA

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
Abstract Ice‐nucleating particles (INPs), essential for initiating primary ice production in many mixed‐phase clouds, have only rarely been measured in air directly relevant for deep convective clouds. In July–August 2022 we used an aircraft to sample aerosol near developing deep convective clouds over Magdalena Mountain, New Mexico, USA.
