High‐Mobility Chalcogenophene‐Engineered Diketopyrrolopyrrole Mixed Ionic‐Electronic Conductors With Doping Tolerance for Low‐Power Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Chalcogen substitution emerges as a powerful strategy for designing high‐performance OMIECs. In aliphatic–glycol side chain diketopyrrolopyrrole polymers, biselenophene incorporation promotes a planar, polarizable, and doping‐tolerant quinoidal framework, enabling PDPP‐4EG‐Se2 to combine high hole mobility, large µC*, enhanced operational stability ...

Engineering Ultra‐Low Fe or Ni Loading in Polymer Derived SiCN(O) Fibre Mats: Exploring the Performance towards Alkaline OER

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Polymer‐derived SiCN(O) fibre mats enable anchoring of ultra‐low amounts of transition metals for efficient alkaline oxygen evolution. The distinct behaviour of Fe‐ and Ni‐based fibres highlights the importance of metal phase and support interactions in tailoring catalytic behaviour.

Ionic Liquid (IL) Compatibilization of Macropore‐Infused Nanocomposite Emulsion Thermosets (MINETs) for Structural Ion Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Macropore‐infused nanocomposite emulsion thermosets (MINETs) offer tunable multifunctionality due to their incorporation of structural resin, functional nanoparticles, and working fluid stabilized by surfactant. Here we show that if ionic liquid working fluids are introduced, structural capacitive (conductive particles) or separator (insulating ...

Scalable Production of Disordered Nickel‐Iron‐Aluminum Oxides as Stable Anodes for Water Electrolysis: The Role of Aluminum

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Solution precursor plasma spraying enables the scalable fabrication of porous and disordered nickel‐iron‐aluminum oxide coatings as precious‐metal‐free anodes. Aluminum inhibits crystal growth, optimizes local atomic sites, and enhances charge and ion transport to accelerate reaction kinetics, leading to excellent performance and operational stability.

Additively Manufactured Porous Ceramics as Tunable Dielectrics for Passive Temperature Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Porous ceramic lattices, 3D‐printed from a multicomponent oxide ink, are integrated with LC resonators for passive wireless temperature sensing. By tuning porosity, the dielectric properties and RF response are engineered to produce distinct resonant frequency shifts with temperature. The results establish a structure‐driven approach to customizing the
