Capacitive wireless power transfer : a matter of materials
Wireless power transfer offers the end-user advantages such as improved user convenience, reduced wear and tear and aesthetics. For applications ranging from consumer electronics to heavy duty autonomous guided vehicles, two types of near-field coupling can be used: magnetic fields (inductive coupling) or electric fields (capacitive coupling).

A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.
