A review on flicker-free ac-dc LED drivers for single-phase and three-phase ac power grids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are coming strongly into the lighting market due to their advantages over conventional lighting solutions: energy efficient, controllable in both light and color, long lifetime, lack of a warm-up period and high power density.

CO2 Reduction on Copper‐Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon Catalysts Tuned by Pulsed Potential Electrolysis: Effect of Pulse Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that pulsed potential electrolysis significantly improves CO2 reduction performance on copper‐nitrogen doped carbon electrodes. The formation of cationic copper sites and metallic clusters as a function of applied intermittent potential leads to notable selectivity changes compared to potentiostatic reduction.

A Generalized Active Voltage Balancing Circuit Implementation for Flying Capacitor 3-Level Switching-Mode DC–DC Converters

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems
This paper presents a generalized control architecture for implementing the active balancing of the flying capacitor voltage in any kind of 3-level switching-mode DC-DC converters, independently from the desired conversion ratio or targeted output power ...

Overview of three-phase inverter topologies for distributed generation purposes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The increasing presence of single-phase distributed generators and unbalanced loads in the electric power system may lead to unbalance of the three phase voltages, resulting in increased losses and heating.

Dynamic Control of Synaptic Plasticity by Competing Ferroelectric and Trap‐Assisted Switching in IGZO Transistors with Al2O3/HfO2 Dielectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A frequency‐tunable ferroelectric synaptic transistor based on a buried‐gate InGaZnO channel and Al2O3/HfO2 dielectric stack exhibits linear and reversible weight updates using single‐polarity pulses. By switching between ferroelectric and trap‐assisted modes depending on input frequency, the device simplifies neuromorphic circuit design and achieves ...

Adaptive Balancing of Series-Connected SiC MOSFETs Based on Active Clamping and Comparison Circuitry

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a control method for balancing the voltages of series-connected SiC MOSFETs based on active clamping and comparison circuitry. Each SiC MOSFET is paired with an active clamping module (ACM), which comprises an auxiliary switch and a ...

Multi-Vector Model Predictive Control for Three-Phase Four-Switch Rectifier with Capacitor Voltage Balancing

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2019
Three-phase four-switch rectifier has the problem of unbalanced capacitor voltage because one phase of its AC side is directly connected between two capacitor neutral points on the DC side.

A minimum-energy-based capacitor voltage balancing control strategy for MPC conversion systems [PDF]

open access: yesISIE '99. Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (Cat. No.99TH8465), 2003
In AC/DC/AC power conversion, the connection of a multi point clamped (MPC) rectifier with an MPC inverter simplifies the balancing of the voltages on the series-connected DC link capacitors as well as giving input power-factor correction capability. This is only true provided that an alternative balancing PWM control strategy is adopted instead of the
