Modified capacitor voltage balancing sorting algorithm for modular multilevel converter
The modular multilevel converter (MMC) with large-scale sub-modules has the advantage of simpler modulation, lower switching frequency, and lower harmonic component, thus would be very promising in voltage source converter (VSC)–high voltage direct ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Design and simulation of zipping variable capacitors [PDF]
Variable capacitors are essential for building tunable RF systems. We present here the design and simulation of novel zipping variable capacitors with a high permittivity dielectric layer. Two modelling techniques are presented: finite element simulation

Encapsulation of NiCo2O4 in nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide for sodium ion capacitors [PDF]
Sodium-ion capacitors are considered as promising energy storage devices for medium/large-scale energy storage applications including electric vehicles (EVs) and smart grid technologies because of their high energy/power densities and long cycle life ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
