The value of sharing advance capacity information under “zero-full” supply capacity availability

open access: yesEconomic and Business Review, 2010

The importance of sharing information within modern supply chains has been established by both practitioners and researchers. Accurate and timely information helps firms effectively reduce the uncertainties of a volatile and uncertain ...

Entanglement-assisted capacities of time-correlated amplitude-damping channel [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
We calculate the information capacities of a time-correlated amplitude-damping channel, provided the sender and receiver share prior entanglement. Our analytical results show that the noisy channel with zero capacity can transmit information if it has finite memory.

Estimating sorber capacity for multiple contaminants [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
Computer program estimates quantity of activated charcoal required to control multiple contaminants. Program scans all contaminants by potential parameter value and then orders them from lowest to highest values.

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.

THE CUBOID CAPACITY METHODOLOGY – TIMETABLE CONVENIENCE VALUE COUNTING

open access: yesPerner’s Contacts, 2018
The main goal of this article is to determine new way of capacity counting. On the previous research basis it was created the cuboid capacity methodology, which counts timetable convenience value.

Bi-capacities -- Part I: definition, Möbius transform and interaction [PDF]

open access: yesFuzzy Sets and Systems (2005) 211-236, 2007
Bi-capacities arise as a natural generalization of capacities (or fuzzy measures) in a context of decision making where underlying scales are bipolar. They are able to capture a wide variety of decision behaviours, encompassing models such as Cumulative Prospect Theory (CPT).

On the heat capacity of quantum hard sphere fluid [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The thermodynamic properties of the Boltzmann hard sphere system is discussed. It was found that zero point energy decreases with temperature so slowly that it turned out to be an almost a constant addition to the classical value. In result the heat capacity of the system differs little from the classical value of 1.5 k everywhere except for the narrow

Capacity Analysis for Continuous Alphabet Channels with Side Information, Part I: A General Framework

open access: yes, 2004
Capacity analysis for channels with side information at the receiver has been an active area of interest. This problem is well investigated for the case of finite alphabet channels.

Spot‐14 and its paralog Spot‐14R regulate expression of metabolic and thermogenic pathway genes in murine brown and beige adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Spot‐14 and Spot‐14R play distinct roles in regulating metabolism in brown and beige adipocytes. While both influence lipid and glucose pathways, Spot‐14 uniquely controls thermogenic gene expression. This dual regulation balances energy storage and heat production, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for obesity and metabolic disorders. Spot 14
