Leveraging current insights on IL‐10‐producing dendritic cells for developing effective immunotherapeutic approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In vivo IL‐10 produced by tissue‐resident tolDC is involved in maintaining/inducing tolerance. Depending on the agent used for ex vivo tolDC generation, cells acquire common features but prime T cells towards anergy, FOXP3+ Tregs, or Tr1 cells according to the levels of IL‐10 produced. Ex vivo‐induced tolDC were administered to patients to re‐establish/

Effect of Different Level of β-glucan extracted from Baker's Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Barley Bran in the Physicochemical Properties of Fish Patties at Cooling Storage Periods

open access: yesMaǧallaẗ al-baṣraẗ al-ʻulūm al-zirāʻiyyaẗ, 2019
?-glucan was extracted from Baker's Yeast of and barley bran using the conventional classical method and the hot water method respectively. The yield of ?- glucan of Baker's Yeast and barley bran were (5.95 and 5.18) % respectively.

The Relationship between Debt Capacity Base and Structural Risk: Evidence from the Warsaw Stock Exchange

open access: yesZeszyty Naukowe Uniwersytetu Ekonomicznego w Krakowie, 2021
Objective: The objective of this paper is to verify the hypothesis that there is a statistically significant correlation between the risk level determined on the basis of structural models and the value of the of debt capacity base, and that the value of

A Simple Theory of Condensation

open access: yes, 2010
A simple assumption of an emergence in gas of small atomic clusters consisting of $c$ particles each, leads to a phase separation (first order transition). It reveals itself by an emergence of ``forbidden'' density range starting at a certain temperature.

The immunological interface: dendritic cells as key regulators in metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) affects nearly one‐third of the global population and poses a significant risk of progression to cirrhosis or liver cancer. Here, we discuss the roles of hepatic dendritic cell subtypes in MASLD, highlighting their distinct contributions to disease initiation and progression, and their ...

Assessment of pastoral resources at a landscape scale: a case study in the Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona e Campigna (AR, Italy)

open access: yesForest@, 2012
Investigations on pastoral resources are mainly represented by surveys aimed to assess the main characteristics of pastures in order to obtain useful information on the carrying capacity of a pastoral surface. At a territorial level, different approaches

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

Analisis Stabilisasi Tanah Dasar dengan Cerucuk Bambu dan Geotekstil

open access: yesRekayasa Sipil, 2023
The road plays an essential role as a driving force for development growth in Sukabumi. The access section is an organic clay type with low bearing capacity, so it needs subgrade stabilization. The DCP test obtained a value of 0.76%.

On the Capacity of the Wiener Phase-Noise Channel: Bounds and Capacity Achieving Distributions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper, the capacity of the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, affected by time-varying Wiener phase noise is investigated. Tight upper and lower bounds on the capacity of this channel are developed. The upper bound is obtained by using the duality approach, and considering a specific distribution over the output of the channel.
